Following the call of the national strategies and the need of the society, the SJTU Australian Studies Center is established in the international metropolis of Shanghai as an academic institute for the study of Australian politics, economics, society, education and humanities, etc. With the assistance of renowned scholars and multi-disciplinary resources, the Center provides advisory reports to related national departments for decision-making. The objective of the Center is to build itself into a research institute with far-reaching influence for policy-making consulting, teaching, research, and intercultural communication. To this end, the Center is actively cultivating talents that meet the needs of the country’s major policy research, and building a research team with a diverse range of expertise.
