2019 SJTU Summer Seminar of Narratology
The School of Foreign Languages (SFL) of SJTU and the academic journal Frontiers of Narrative Studies (De Gruyter) will hold the 2019 Summer Seminar of Narratology in SFL from July 3 to 5. This seminar will serve as a platform for researchers in the field of narratology, especially for young teachers and graduates. It is expected to allow them to learn about theories of narratology and research methods, to explore cutting-edge topics and the main academic focuses of the field, as well as opening up academic horizons. World-renowned scholars have been invited to participate in this seminar, including Professors Brian Richardson (University of Maryland), Tan Junqiang (Yunnan University) and Shang Biwu (SJTU), to discuss the following topics:

Basic theory and development of narratology

Frontier theories and focal points of narratology

Research subjects of narratology and fund declaration
