To further push ahead student admission of Shanghai Jiao Tong Univeristy (hereafter referred to as SJTU) in Shaanxi, the Shaanxi Admissions Team of School of Foreign Languages organized the students from Shannxi to give presentations in their alma maters during the winter vacation of 2021. All of the schools visited during this “High School Tour” are excellent student pools for SJTU, including High School Attached to Northwestern Polytechnic University, Xi'an Tie Yi High School, Xi’an Gaoxin No.1 High School, and Hanzhong Long Gang school.
At the presentations, students introduced SJTU’s basic information, talent cultivation, and development goals. They highlighted the dominant subjects and professions in SJTU and stressed the data of SJTU’s enrollments in Shaanxi. They also shared their own experience of learning and living in the campus and distributed souvenirs of SJTU to the students who were engaged in the interaction.
This event allowed high school students in Shaanxi to have a deeper understanding of SJTU’s historical and cultural backgrounds, advantageous subjects and professions, distinctive classes and programs, strong faculty resources and sound learning environments, which received favourable feedback from high school students, teachers and parents.
In order to make the“High School Tour”well-organized, the Shaanxi Admissions Team provided strong support. Previously, on the 5th of January, the team held a meeting to discuss and prepare the tour. The team leader Zhu Yifan, and the team members Fei Ming and Huang Shao, as well as more than 10 students who graduated from High School Attached to Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an Tie Yi High School, Xi’an Gaoxin No.1 High School, and Hanzhong Long Gang school, attended the meeting to discuss the plans for the tour.
Students from SJTU had made full preparations for the tour in their alma maters, including making posters, shooting and editing videos, purchasing souvenirs and so on.
