The song of farewell began to sound in March, while School of Foreign Languages (hereafter referred to as SFL) held a series of graduation events to see off the class of 2021.

On the morning of March 24^th, SFL’s Grade 2018 Postgraduates’ Party Branch developed a “Voyage Out” Education program entitled “Motherland’s Prosperity, My Responsibility”. Ding Jian, Secretary of CPC SFL Committee, and Zhang Hongmei, Vice President of SFL, were present at the event. Liu Yan, Tutor of Students’ Party Construction and Secretary of Youth League SFL Committee, as well as members of Party Branch of the Graduating Class, attended the lecture.

At noon of March 24^th, SFL’s leading group, representatives of mentors, including Tian Yan, Guan Xinchao, Shang Biwu, Liu Huawen, Yang Bingjun, Zhang Honggang, Wei Xiaofei, Huang Jianxiang, Shi Min, Zhao Yong, Wu Shiyu, Xu Xu, Wang Jinbo, Li Fei, Xue Yuan, and Wu Fuyun, and the 2021 Graduating Class gathered in front of the Yang Yongman Building to take a group photo. Classmates joyfully helped each other to reapply make-up, comb hair, and smooth down the gowns, with three years’ time in SJTU captured in the photo. Endless blessings and care were written down by teachers and students on the signature board.

At noon of March 25^th, SFL’s leading group and graduates gathered in SJTU’s Academic Center to have a graduation dinner. Ding Jian, Chang Hui and other leaders offered their best wishes for the graduates, wishing them a promising future and every success in their work. They emphasized that students should align personal development closely with the country’s development, and forever bear in mind the school motto – “When you drink water, never shall you forget its source. Love your motherland and bring honor to your alma mater.” They also urged the students to visit their alma mater often in the future.  

Like the gracefully erect lotus leaves, students are at life’s full flowering. Amid laughter and cheerful voices, SFL’s 2021 Year post-graduates’ graduation season events came to a successful end. We sincerely wish all the graduates a glorious and bright future!
