Arleen Lonescu's Public Lectures on Ethics in Academic Writing
Arleen Ionescu’s public lectures on Ethics in Academic Writing (April, 7 and April 14, 2021) were meant to provide SFL students with tools they need in order to write their future dissertations and articles.
Whilst the first part focused on what the general structure of their essays should be, the second part referred to what ethics in academic writing means. Students were provided with different examples of codes of ethics that prestigious universities in the world and significant journals/ publishers in the Humanities use, examples of misconduct in research, tips on how to avoid plagiarism and examples of several plagiarism cases.
