In April, which was in late spring, the summer heat may be yet on the way, but fiery enthusiasm was right underway. On April 17-18, 2021, Ding Jian, Secretary of CPC SFL Committee, and Zhu Yifan, Vice Secretary of CPC SFL Committee, led thirty-six SFL students to participate in Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s first student track and field meeting. They fought courageously and won great results.

At the opening ceremony, Ding Jian and Zhu Yifan led the team to march into the stadium. Calling out the school motto in unison, SFL’s entrance phalanx, which was in accordance with its discipline characteristics and dotted with funny slogan jigsaws, paraded into the field with orderly and powerful steps, showing good mental attitude.

In the following competitions, students demonstrated their tenacious will and a strong sense of collective honor. Finally, Chen Yunjie won the gold medals of Women's High Jump and Women's 100 Meters. Cao Lei, Chen Yunjie, Xie Jianing and Xu Yinuo won the second place in the women's 4×100m race, breaking the school record.  

During the sports meeting, the student union provides competitors with meticulous and comprehensive logistics services, purchasing supplies in advance and arranging the staff to be on duty in turns.

This sports meeting is the first student track and field meeting resumed by Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Various track and field events not only stimulate students' passion for sports, help promote sports fashion, but also enhance the class collective cohesion. By carrying forward the fighting spirit on the sports field into their future study and life, SFlers aims to fully realize the all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education, committing themselves to living up to the oath of "Working 50 Years in Good Health for Motherland in the Second Centennial Journey".
