Students from the Japanese Department of SFL Win Awards in the 18th All-China Japanese Composition Contest
Under the guidance of Mr Ryohei Watanabe, 4 students’ work from the Department of Japanese won awards in the 18th All-China Japanese Composition Contest, standing out from 3362 entries, according to the event organizer. Xu Yinuo from Grade 2019 won the third prize. Huang Xuanyan from Grade 2019, Wang Luer from Grade 2020, and Yan Dong from Grade 2021 won the Excellent Writing Award. In addition, Mr. Ryohei Watanabe, the instructor, won the Outstanding Supervisor Award.
All-China Japanese Composition Competition which is jointly held by Nihonbashi Press and China-Japan Exchange Research Institute, has been held for 18 consecutive times since its first competition in 2005, making it the longest and most influential national competition. Featuring "Reflections on the 50th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan relations," this year’s competition attracts several thousand students from 205 schools in 28 provinces and cities across the country.
Mr. Ryohei Watanabe said it was a big breakthrough that four students from SFL won prizes in the competition. It was expected that students will make persistent efforts and achieve better results next year.
